Yesterday I went on a hike with my best friend, Miles. Sometimes we hiked in the forest, sometimes in the open plain, and sometimes we hiked next to a frozen river. We had a lot of fun breaking the ice with my dad's trekking poles. We were able to explore an abandoned ranch that had once been used as a movie set. We climbed up a really tall tower of rocks. When we got to our destination we decided we would walk through the forest back to the car. Miles and I navigated. We found a lot of animal bones, 100 to be exact. One jaw bone, two carcasses, three skulls, four spines, and partridge in a pear tree... We even go to keep a tooth. It was amazingly amazing. I'm glad I got to have this experience with my best friend!!!
