We finally got to our new house on the beach. Today when my mom went to the grocery store, she brought back a boogie board. When she got home we went out to the beach. It was so very cold and windy that the board flew like a kite in a storm. The water was very cold. By the end my mom was shivering like crazy. We were so happy to get back inside.
PS, from Rachel. Nate was not exaggerating. The actual air temp today while we were out was 44 degrees. And the wind was at 21 mph. It was freezing, but apparently the water felt a bit warmer than the air. He stayed in the water for over 45 minutes, having a ball. I was freezing! And, before either of his grandmothers call in child protective services for my derelict parenting, he is feeling fine with no signs of a cold coming on... xoxo.
